  • When should my first appointment be for dress alterations?

    Good question! We often recommend scheduling your first appointment two to three months before your planned wedding date.

  • Can you complete the alterations within two weeks?

    It will be subject to a rush fee, but yes. We can complete the alterations within two weeks.

  • How many appointments are usually needed for dress alterations?

    Two appointments are our minimum for dress alterations; however, more appointments may be necessary if there is a custom need for your dress.

  • Does the pinning fee include the pins?

    The pinning fee only covers the time associated with the work. It does not include the pins.

  • Do you offer consultations?

    Yes. Consultations are available on any of our business days for a small fee of $50.

  • How long is my first fitting?

    We schedule an hour-long session for your first fitting, but it could be longer or shorter.

  • Should I bring my veil? Should I bring my shoes?

    We ask that you bring your shoes. You're invited to bring your veil, but if no alterations are made to it, it's not required. 

  • Who may attend my appointments? Do you allow food or drink at the shop?

    You may bring whomever you like within the limit of two to four people. Kids are welcome, though not recommended for these appointments. Both food and drinks are not allowed in our shop.

  • Do you work with custom pieces? Can you alter a vintage dress that a grandmother wore during her wedding?

    Yes, we are happy to work with your custom piece. Popular requests include adding sleeves, jackets for fall and winter weddings, and adding bows. We also enjoy working on vintage dresses.

  • Do you alter mother of the bride dresses?

    Yes, we alter mother of the bride dresses. In fact, we specialize in all types of occasion dresses, such as:


    • Wedding gowns
    • Mother of the bride dresses
    • Bridesmaid dresses
    • Prom dresses
    • Debutante dresses
